SADD Raises Post-Prom Funds (WHS Orange & Black)

Written By: Matt Rider
Each year SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and senior parents raise money for post-prom activities. This year is no different. SADD has hosted two school dances, Hat Day on Thursdays, and Crush Can Sale to try to raise money for this year's post prom activities.
Post prom varies from year to year. Last year it consisted of Fear Factor games, a velcro net, and various other events. Before that it was bowling and games at Cannonball Lanes. Another year, a hypnotist was brought in to entertain students. Prizes are usually often rewarded to students at post prom. Prizes are typically items for bedrooms and gift certificates to places in town.
Mrs. Gorman said that, "raising money for post prom activities is very important because it gives the students taht go to prom, a safe activity to do after the prom is over...So the students don't get hurt."
SADD has made about a total of $350.00 but they still need $700.00 to reach their goal of raising $1,050.00 for post prom activities. Students, if you would like to help SADD with post prom activitiesm talk to Mrs. Gorman or contribute to one of the many upcoming events that are planned to raise money for this year's post prom activities.
